Do you love incredible stories? Don’t you love to hear stories that are amazing! Here is a better question. Do you have any UN...BELIEVABLE AND PHENOMENAL stories? Stories that just amaze you? Let me narrow that question down a little bit more. Do you have any UN...BELIEVABLE AND PHENOMENAL faith stories? Sometimes, I am amazed at how many followers of Christ have so few faith stories to share! Stories where God came through! Stories where you were worn out, exhausted and hopeless. Stories where God does something… UN...BELIEVABLE AND PHENOMENAL…that you did not expect! How many of you want to have stories like that to tell? Be careful, because before you have a story to tell…you gotta, gotta, gotta, go through something! You gotta, gotta, gotta, endure something.

Don’t you just love God’s word? I do! I love Heb. 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires! God’s word is UN…BELIEVABLE AND PERSONAL! And so is this morning’s message. I had originally planned to speak on a different topic, but later in the week, I felt that gentle nudge of the Spirit to go in a different direction.

have you ever been around people? Do you like people? Have you ever seen people that you thought were crazy…I don’t mean like actually diagnosed crazy, but just like…what are you thinking crazy? When I was growing up, I had a next-door neighbor, named Mrs. Davis. When we first moved in she was all sugar and spice. She had a nice yellow house, shrubs that were trimmed, and grass that was green, mowed and trimmed to perfection. And she had a cyclone fence…also known as a chain link fence. I was 7 years old when we moved in. She would talk to us across the fence. Things went well…for awhile…then something UN…BELIEVABLE happened! My brother and I turned into boys…you know the kind that yells and screams at each other, the kind that played army and shot each other, the kind that yelled like Tarzan (ahhh...hhe…hhaaaa),the kind that played baseball in the front yard…the kind that would crawl over her fence…instead of using the gate…and get the ball that had bounced in her yard. Something happened…she became evil. (SMILE) Now here is what really happened! She had a disagreement with my step-mom. My dad got involved…of course us boys got involved…That was the end of being a friendly neighbor. We lived at that house for 10 years. For 8 of those years there was friction…lots of friction with Mrs. Davis! There were steel glances; gossip with other neighbors, mutterings under the breath….and…I dare you stances (hands on the hips) in the front yard.

have you ever had a problem? Everyone has had a problem right? Everyone I know has had problems…even I have problems!...but have you ever had a big problem…I mean a huge problem an unbelievable problem? There are lots of people in the Bible that have problems. What can we learn from these problems? What can we learn from these people? What does God reveal about himself to us when we have un…believable problems?
