This morning, we are celebrating the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus! We are celebrating how Jesus went from life to death...and back to life! We call it the resurrection! This morning I want you to know THE RESURRECTION IS TRUE! I am going to give you 3 reasons why the resurrection is true. This message also contains the testimonies of Mari Kay Clark and Jessica Reinholz.

This passage is what I call a sandwich passage. Here is what I mean. It has a beautiful and touching story that in the middle…but it is sandwiched between 2 ugly stories! Yet, they are all part of the same story. It is this sandwiching that creates the contrast so that we can clearly see the ugly as well as the beauty! It is the “sandwich effect” that helps us to see the 3 types of people that are following Jesus to the cross! It is why we are asking WHAT ARE YOU?

The people in your life, they can be a great spiritual asset, or they can be a curse. The people in your life can be an asset…they can lift you up, they can encourage you and, equip you and strengthen you. The wrong people though, they can be incredibly distracting and destructive and poisonous…the can be toxic…especially…if you are not careful.

Today, I want to talk to you about your need for personal experience with the Lord. There comes a time in our lives when we move from being taught…to DOING AND LIVING…what we have we been taught! We need a personal experience! A personal experience strengthens what we have learned. Without personal experience we may be talked out of what we think…we believe! Why? Because it has not become real! It has not been tested in our lives! Our beliefs are only a theory!
